Vanessa Peters is an American folk singer-songwriter who gained recognition as the lead vocalist for the band Ice Cream on Mondays and later as a solo artist. Born on September 16, 1980, in Dallas, Texas, she is best known for her songs “Love Story” and “The Next Big Bang,” which were featured on popular reality shows such as The Real World: New Orleans and Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Peters released The Christmas We Hoped For in 2011, a critically acclaimed holiday album that showcased her musical prowess. Before embarking on her music career, she pursued studies in English and Creative Writing at Texas A&M University.

In addition to her musical achievements, Peters has opened for the alternative rock band 10,000 Maniacs and shared insights into the challenges of sustaining a career in music within the digital age through a TEDxStuttgart talk.

She comes from a family of three sisters.
