About Anne Holt
Anne Holt, born on November 16, 1958 in Norway, is a notable novelist known for her Hanne Wilhelmsen and Vik/Stubo series of crime novels. She has also penned several stand-alone titles including Mea Culpa (1997) and Bernhard Pinkertons Store Oppdrag (1999).
After earning her law degree from the University of Bergen, Holt worked for Oslo’s Police Department and briefly served as a journalist for The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. Notably, she served as Minister of Justice in the Cabinet of Norwegian Prime Minister Thorbjorn Jagland from late 1996 until early 1997.
Raised in Larvik, Lillestrom, and Tromso, Norway, Holt later settled in Oslo with her partner Anne Christine Kjaer and their daughter Iohanne.
