Apollonia Kotero is a movie actress and model born on August 2, 1959 in Santa Monica, California. She is best known for her co-starring role in the hit 1984 film Purple Rain and as the lead singer of the all-girl group Apollonia 6.
Prior to her acting career, she was named Miss San Pedro and worked as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Rams. In addition, she was also a featured vocalist on Prince’s song “Take Me With You,” which reached the Billboard Top 40 in the U.S.
