About Koren Grieveson
Koren Grieveson, born on November 4, 1971 in Luanda, Angola, is a renowned chef known for her work with high-profile restaurants like Resto, Avec and Blackbird. She has appeared on popular cooking shows such as Top Chef and Iron Chef.
Prior to her culinary career, Grieveson spent time growing up in various countries including Zimbabwe, Brazil and England. She also served in the U.S. Army for nine years before graduating from the Culinary Institute of America.
In 2010 she was honored with the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Great Lakes. Grieveson was engaged to fellow television chef Anne Burrell but they separated before marrying.
