About Anita Punt
Anita Punt (born October 2, 1987) is a New Zealand field hockey player. She represented her native New Zealand at the 2012 Olympic Games and won a gold medal at the 2009 Champions Challenge in Cape Town.
Before rising to prominence, Punt attended Waimea College and joined the Capital National Hockey League team at age eighteen. Known for her speed, she is regarded as one of the fastest players in women’s field hockey and even won the 100-metre event at the International Track Meet in Christchurch.
Punt’s parents are Adele and Nicky Punt.
