Anne Francis, born on September 16, 1930 in Ossining, New York, was a renowned movie actress. She is best known for her portrayal of a female detective in the TV series Honey West and for her role in the science fiction film Forbidden Planet which earned her widespread recognition. Throughout her career, she appeared in over 150 acting projects.
Francis began appearing in Broadway productions at just 11 years old and later went on to win a Golden Globe Award for her performances. Her diverse acting portfolio included an appearance on The Golden Girls and concluded with a role on Without a Trace in 2004.
In addition to her successful career, Francis had two children and was married twice, with her last marriage being to Robert Abeloff.
