About Anne Schleper
Anne Schleper is a professional hockey player born on January 30, 1990, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She has had an accomplished career as a three-time member of the US hockey team, including winning a gold medal with the 2008 Under-18 team.
Schleper played collegiately for the Minnesota Golden Gophers women’s ice hockey program as a defender and was part of the team that won an NCAA national championship in 2012. Before her college career, she played for the St. Cloud Ice Breakers and earned several accolades including Ms. Hockey title and Most Valuable Player awards during her junior and senior seasons.
Throughout her collegiate career, Schleper received several honors such as being named to WCHA First Team and WCHA All-Academic Team. She also received sportsmanship awards in both Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award (2011) and Big Ten Medal of Honor (2012).
In addition to her successful college career, Anne became one of twelve Gopher women’s hockey players to become an Olympian. Her dedication to the sport is evident by her impressive achievements at both collegiate and international levels.
