Annie Funke, born on April 9, 1985 in Edmond, Oklahoma, is a stage actress known for her work in film and television as well as Broadway and off-Broadway productions. She has appeared in popular stage productions such as Wicked and Hairspray, among others.
In 2014, Funke gained recognition for her role in the film “A Most Violent Year” followed by an appearance in “The Intern” the next year. She also achieved success on television with a lead role in the CBS series “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.”
Prior to her acting career taking off, Funke earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the University of Oklahoma and later graduated from the School at Steppenwolf Theatre Company.
Funke’s talent has been recognized with several awardsincluding a Lucille Lortel Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play. Her hometown is Edmond, Oklahoma.
