Maria Antonieta de las Nieves, born on December 22, 1950 in Mexico City, is a renowned TV actress. She is best known for her iconic portrayal of La Chilindrina in the Mexican television comedy series El Chavo del Ocho and has also appeared in recurring roles on Chespirito and El Chapulin Colorado.
De las Nieves made her debut at the age of seven in the film Pulgarcito and began lending her voice to Spanish-language versions of The Munsters and The Addams Family shortly after. In 1990, she played a starring role in the movie Sor Batalla.
Born as Maria Antonieta Gomez Rodriguez, she grew up alongside six older siblings in Mexico City. De las Nieves married Gabriel Fernandez in 1971 and they have two children together; Veronica and Gabriel.
